Over the years, I have gone through many hair flat irons. I couldn't make a commitment to flat iron because i would find myself disappointed in them. They were expensive too! I paid $30-$200.00 for my array of irons.
Buying a new hair flat iron every year is ridiculous and consumers shouldn't have to buy them that frequently. We should be able to buy a great flat iron with the satisfaction of knowing it is going to work properly for years to come. Sadly, that seems to be wishful thinking. None of my flat irons make it past the 2 year mark.
After I had it out with my last flat iron, which resulted in it being tossed in the garbage can, I decided to do some research in preparations on replacing it. I didn't want to get a recommended one from my hair stylist because let's be honest; they make a commission off of the sale so its only naturally they will push the most expensive one on you. I fell for that once and look how well that turned out. I found nothing but positive reviews for Sedu hair flat irons so I decided to give it a try.
I was so eager to receive my Sedu. I had ordered it only and it arrived about 4 days later. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the iron was short lengthwise compared to my previous irons. the plates weren't any shorter, they were still 1 inch plates but the length difference made it a lot easier to style my hair.
The ceramic plates glide over my hair with ease and I love that I am able to adjust the heat settings to whatever temperature I feel is necessary to produce the results I am looking for. This flat iron works amazingly well that it only takes about 1-2 passes through my hair and leaves me with perfectly straight, smooth and silky hair. Sedu also leaves my hair really shiny and healthy looking. I tested it out one day by purposely brushing my curly hair to induce frizziness. I took my Sedu and went to work. Less than 15 minutes later, my medium length hair was perfectly silky smooth with 0 flyaways.
It is now 6 months later and my Sedu has been dropped once and still functions beautifully. The plates do not have any product build up on them, unlike my previous flat irons. The plates show no sign of wear or tear, just as beautiful as they were the day I opened it. I am still a happy satisfied customer and wouldn't use another brand on my hair. - 30305
